This month I am going to talk about sleeping.

Transporting your new baby from the hospital to home (do you buy a convertible car seat or a capsule?)  A capsule can be removed from the car while baby is asleep with no disturbance to him/her. A capsule can be fitted onto your pram hopefully baby is still asleep.

Where does baby sleep when you get home?   Babystar has a great range of bassinettes complete with mattress and liner included, there is also a toybar that attaches to bassinette.  Retails for just $199.00.

Perhaps you would rather put your baby straight into a cot.  We sell cots for $299.00. Basic foam mattresses are $55.00.  The Kimberley cot has a base that can be adjusted for a newborn.  It comes in White, Baltic and Heritage.

All babies will have periods of fussiness and irritability. Sounds for Silence has an answer.  It is a CD that uses sounds to distract, engage and soothe unsettled infants.  Product trials have shown that it will successfully settle 9 out of 10 babies.  1 in 2 babies settle in less that 60 seconds.  This is a great

Now something for the new mum and dad.  The Angelcare monitor is $185.00.  It is a Sound and Movement Monitor.  An ultra-sensitive Sensor Pad is tucked under the mattress, it detects all of you baby's movements.  If none are dectected for 20 seconds an alarm sounds in the Parent Nursery Unit so you can take immediate action.
